Generation is the energy in the gas divided by the generator heat rate. Flaring emissions are the CO2 from burning the gas plus the methane that escapes an imperfect flare, at the factors below. The emissions saved depend on the generation technology and on what the compute would otherwise run on, so we assess them site by site.
